According to the CDC (2020)  Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability that can cause significant social, communication, and behavioral challenges.  The cause is unknown. There is no cure for autism.  Autism is usually diagnosed by the age of three. However, developmental delays can be detected as early as infancy.  Autism affects both adults and children.  Currently autism affects 1 in 54 children in the United States.

One effective  intervention for autism is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA can help children reach their potential of independence by using evidence based scientific strategies to help children accomplish daily living skills. ABA when combined with other interventions and tools can be highly effective.
